Group Life Conference – New Community

We departed Philadelphia at 3pm and arrived in Chicago ahead of schedule. The team had a great time on the way to the LaQuinta Inn from the airport. I plugged in my Zune which was loaded with music and brought everyone back to their childhood playing a music guessing game with classic TV themes. It passed the van ride quickly.
We have a great group that is eager to learn and really loves what God is doing in our church. After checking in we buzzed over the the church for New Community. New Community is the church service Willow Creek has on Wednesday nights that maintains a bible teaching focus for believers. Mike Breaux taught today on Spiritual Gifts and it was the perfect way to start off our time together. It put the whole experience we were about to have into perspective and helped us to focus on our individual roles in the body of Christ.
Hopefully we will keep that in perspective as we attend the conference and learn from other teachers, churches, and each other.
