Lindsay Returns Home
My friend Lindsay Spengler returned home about a week ago. If you don’t remember her, from my sermon this summer, you can see my recent interview with her by clicking here. Lindsay has fought her way through her RSD and recently got back from Mexico where she received some experimental treatment. God has answered prayer through these doctors and Lindsay’s hard work. She still has a long way to go so keep her in your prayers.
It put me in tears during my visit there to see her stand up without any support. I even got a little scared when we were talking and she just got up and grabbed her laptop and started showing me pictures of her trip to Mexico. I had never seen her make swift movements and do the little things you and I take for granted each day.
The best part was on Friday night. I went over to the Spengler’s house with Shelli, Anthony, and Michael for a visit and dessert. We all walked up onto the porch and rang the doorbell. LINDSAY ANSWERED THE DOOR!!! She is still in a wheelchair, until she gets stronger, but it was incredible to see her out of the hospital bed she was stuck in for over 5 years.
I asked her, “Did you guys plan that?”
She smiled and said, “Yeah, we did. I just had to do it!”
It was wonderful to see them as a family and for the first time I got to see them smile together. Congratulations Spengler family. Our prayers are continually with you. Welcome home.
