Church Pirates
Pirates aren’t just looking for prey on the oceans anymore. They exist in the church too. Churches that are near and dear to my heart have experienced this. I have spoken with church staff, board members, and leadership from churches that have added pastors to their staff that ended up to be church pirates. They would stay on staff around for 3-10 years and then felt called by God to take a chunk of the congregation with them and start a new church down the street.
