Praying Because We Always Pray

Praying at meal times is a pet peeve of mine. I hate praying just because we always pray at meal times. I want my prayers to be meaningful times with God and not cliche moments where I go through a ritual. Often I think prayers at meal times end up a cliche ritual with no meaning. Have you ever asked God to bless you food? Isn’t it already blessed because He created it? Instead I try to pray for the relationships of those at the table and our connection to our creator.
