Purpose Filled Productivity

The longer I serve our church and our God the more I realize why I can keep going when I am feeling tired or empty. The answer is I have purpose in my actions. No matter how seemingly menial the task, or challenging the problem, my purpose is the same. As followers of Jesus our purpose is the same – LIFE CHANGE. To help those far from God become disciples of Jesus. When I am focused on that purpose I can rise to any occasion and lead the efforts for a huge event, or humble myself to pick up trash at the start of my day. I serve at the pleasure of the Almighty. I don’t care if it sounds cliche’ because there are days when those words are the only thing that gives me the endurance I need. I was recently inspired by a story that Tim Sanders told in the video below:

Philippians 2:5-7 says,

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in
very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be
grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a
servant, being made in human likeness.

Fortunately, my three weeks of intense events has come to an end and I am feeling better, but how do you face your challenges in life when you feel like you are running on E? Is there a scripture you find encouraging or an activity that changes your mood?
