2008 Blogging Wrap Up
Posted on 29. Dec, 2008 by frank in blogging
I’ve been doing the blogging thing for 2 years now and I’ve been enjoying it. I have loved discovering more about the web and social networking tools and then sharing those lessons with others. It was great being able to share some of what I’ve learned at the Willow Creek Small Groups Conference and at a couple of churches that I was able to help out as they got started with launching a small group ministry from scratch! I spoke with one of the pastors a few weeks ago and they have had an outstanding start and it looks like more than half of their adults are sticking with the groups they have kicked off. I can’t wait to see what happens at these churches over the next year.
Anyway, back to blogging… here is how my year went:
- It looks like I posted most frequently about ministry, family, fun stuff, and my church.
- My top three (most visited) posts were about Gene Appel, The Christmas Season, and Referee Pastor.
- The most popular video I posted was Starbucks and Church Marketing.
- Most of my traffic comes from Google and Moviechurch.com.
- The top three blogs that send me traffic are: Brian Jones, Her Road Back, and The Wilsons
- Visits were more than double of last year and came from 97 different countries. The top 5 were the United States, Canada, The United Kingdom, and Germany.
- Not surprisingly most of my traffic is in the US. The top 5 states are: Pennsylvania, Illinois, California, New Jersey, and New York.
It has been a great year and I look forward to seeing what 2009 brings. Don’t forget you can have have blog posts sent directly to your email inbox. Simply click here to sign up and receive each post via email.
