More Than a Trip

Our Youth Pastor (Todd Looney) recently took our teens on a retreat to Camp Victory in Zumbro Falls, Mn.  Watching the video (below) reminded me how the moments that they shared are so much more than a simple trip.  I remember, growing up in church, how moments like these got me out of my comfort zone.  Away from phones, video games, TV, computers, school, family, all of it.

Away from the day to day grind and brought me to a place where I had no choice but to encounter God.  It was also a great time for me to build new friendships and make old ones even stronger.  I’m sure that happened for our students that went, plus they got the chance to serve others as they aided with flood relief efforts in the area.
